The Garden Project - Part 4 (Harvesting)

Zucchinis are VERY happy.
YUM!
Tomatoes seem to be fairing well. We have already been snacking on our Sungolds.
The mystery plant in the bottom bed has turned out to be cukes!

Kenzie - Month 7

Almost spot-on her 7-month birthday, Kenzie started to crawl. Like it was no big thing. Like she had been doing it for weeks. She just popped up and started robotically cross-crawling in the office. And I knew it was over. This little mobile accomplishment is two months before her brother did, which makes me think that she'll be walking around her 1st birthday (Mason didn't until he was 15 months). She is already straightening her legs, doing a sort of baby downward-dog yoga pose. And she seems to have a penchant for climbing - already crawling towards the bottom step, kneeling, then standing up while leaning against it. Oh boy!
That is the biggest news this month. She seems to be babbling more purposefully. I swear she says "I love you" and "Good morning" in her own language. And, of course, she is licking/eating/mouthing everything in sight.
As far as food, we've transitioned to chunkier food and to teething crackers, which she is crazy about! At some point soon, we'll need to start giving her two meals a day, but the cleanup is making me wait. Breastfeeding is so easy and clean. It's hard to not do it. I hope to also start taking advantage of the summer vegetables and fruits and pureeing and making our own foods and freezing them for the winter months. Oh yes, and I also magically have 10 extra hours in my day to accomplish all of this.
She seems to be a little ham - reminds me of her brother. She flaps her arms wildly whenever he's around, which makes me smile. Now that she's moving around I hope she is more entertaining for him (oops - making her way out of the office into the basement!).
